Very close to the Delaware River, where a breeze blows all the time, this garden, in the courtyard of a beauty school, is a memorial to the founder. My client is the grand daughter of the founder and it was very important to her to incorporate into a new and modern garden some of her grandmother’s favorite flowers, primarily roses and hydrangeas and lots of summer color.
Flowers from the garden are often used in displays at the reception area. The garden will soon have benches and cafe tables for students to enjoy the garden during time. Gaura “Whirling Butterflies,” planted in the farthest bed from the buildings, is true to it’s name as it catches every breeze.
“Jeannie was the garden designer and project manager for both my business and my residence. The garden for my business is a memorial garden for my grandmother who founded the company. Jeannie selected plants that were a beautiful tribute to her, lots of roses and hydrangeas. So nicely done.”
